President’s Report
Rusty has been in touch with Lian O’Neil. He will be here in
September next year. He can do an all day demo for $800.00 or a night demo for
$400.00. He is requesting fees for overnight facilities and transportation. We
would also have to supply a lathe and chain saw. He does containers and
platters using soft wood, and cutting and finishing techniques.
After much discussion it was decided that Rusty should
contact Mr. O’Neil and let him know we can’t afford his prices, but if we could
work out a reasonable compromise, we would like him to come and do a demo here
at the meeting using only a small lathe.
Jerry Rucker will be doing the demonstration in December.
Librarian’s

let John know.

Old Business
Our
photographer, John Lilley took some pictures at the last meeting, but it hasn’t
been put into the gallery. We should keep trying to get any pictures into the
gallery.
New
Business
We are looking for someone to take Rich Mialki’s position
with the Make-A-Wish program. We know that it will be difficult to fill his
shoes. Please let Ron know.
Please remember dues of $20.00 are due.
Jake and Rich volunteered to be auctioneers for the evening.
