Ron Hudson
demonstrated how to make wooden bracelets. They are item for the fair that are relatively
easy to make. He also demonstrated how he makes the wheels for his big wheel
trucks that he brought in. Now that he has a Jim Hilburger computer on his
lathe is a much easier task. Thank You Ron for this very informative and well
presented demo.
ELMER’S CORNER:
Saw Blade Storage Spacers: Found in Vol.32/ No. 187 of Wordsmith.
The first requirement
of saw blade storage is to keep the blades separated so the teeth won’t knock
together and they can be easily grasped. An easy solution was found in using
dairy container lids as spacers. Cut a
piece of plywood a little larger than the blades and insert a dowel in the
center. Then drill holes in the lids with a Forstner bit and stack them between
the blades to separate them.
Respectfully
submitted,
