borrowed any videos, and are done watching them, PLEASE bring them back.
The club

location as last year.
Old Business
Rich Mialki talked about the Keith
Tompkins demo at Pembroke HS on April 26. Ticket price $20.00
Rich Mialki talked about
the 2009 Erie County Fair and asked for donations from the members. Gerry
Rucker and Bob Harrington both had items to donate. THANK YOU.
New Business
A reminder to members, to start
making items for school staff. They will be collected at the June meeting to be
given to the school staff as a thank you for the use of the room for our

DRAWING
50/50
Rockler:
Jake Debski showed many
different gouges with different grinds and then showed the use of same in
turning 2 bowls. Thank you Jake for sharing this with us. I here also, that you
initiated Paul Carver, a new member by throwing a mahogany bowl from the lathe
in his direction to check his reflexes.
ELMER’S CORNER:
Here’s one
I found in this month’s Wood magazine: Simple and sticky patterns.
For those
of you that who use small patterns for different projects such as scroll sawing
ornament and such. Instead of dealing with messy spray adhesive or time
consuming tracing to transfer patterns to the wood, use all-in –one printer to
copy and print the patterns onto 81/2 X 11 inch adhesive label sheets (Avery
#8165, 800-462-8379, avery, com) then just cut out the patterns and stick them
onto the wood. Quick & easy.
Respectfully
submitted,
Muriel
