Jim
Hilburger demonstrated how he makes angels. It should be a good seller at the
fair. In his usual fashion it was fast
and very informative. He also showed how to make yo yo’s which he started
making again after a long hiatus from them. Also, a good seller for the
fair. Thank you Jim for a great demo and an hour of entertainment as usual.
ELMER’S CORNER:
Here’s one
I found in the June “Woolworker’s Journal”.: New Twist on To Tricky Tenons
Cutting straight, even tenon shoulders on things such as tree limbs can be
difficult. An ordinary pipe cutter is perfect for the job. Clamp it to the
stick and give it a spin to score a neat, clean shoulder line. Then carve the
tenon from there. The pipe cutter also works well for scoring shoulders on
dowels.
Respectfully
submitted,
Muriel
Kummer
