ELMER’S
CORNER: Found in American Woodworker, April/May 2010
Mixing with
Pasta Sauce Jar;
Most
finishes need to be thinned if used in a HVLP spray gun. Previous to this
discovery, measuring cups were used to do this. However, the submitter of this
tip, noticed that the pasta sauce jars that were being thrown away had
measurements on the sides of the jar, as well as an air tight cap. By darkening
the measured marks on the jar, you now have a way to measure and keep any
finish not use in a container that will keep it fresh until the next time you
need it.
Respectfully
submitted,
Muriel
