Announcements
2011 – 2012
meeting dates will be the 2nd Thursday except in April and June. The
dates given by Hamburg were the same as the Turner 1 dates so Rusty will be
contacting Hamburg to change them.
Pres. Ron
Hudson took meeting over to discuss Old and New business.
Old Business
A reminder that our annual picnic is on Thursday
August 25th at St. Nicodemus picnic shelter and grounds on Liberia
Rd. Start time is 4:30 p.m. Bring a dish to pass. Plus place settings.
Hamburgers and hotdogs plus drinks will be provided. Contact Pat Boggan
(892-0517 or pjbogan@aol.com) if your
availability changes.
The Erie County Fair: Pepper explained the new
parking pass system. Passes are for the triangle lot off of Clark St. and are
date specific. Turners can drop off their supplies at the UPS gate and then
park. There will be someone at that gate.
Rockler has donated bags for the fair and pen kits.
Steve Imerese has donated a segmented vase to be
auctioned off.
New
Business
1. Brian Defore has
food takeout containers that he will make available at the September meeting.
2. Next meeting:
September 8, 2011 at Hamburg Middle School at 7:30 p.m.

ELMER’S
CORNER: Woodsmith; vol. 33 / no. 195: Handy Tool Storage
Single
hooks on a pegboard take up too much space for an extensive collection of
screwdrivers and other small hand tools.
A compact solution
for storing a lot of tools is a section of ammunition belt screwed onto the
board. These belts can be purchased in most sporting good stores.
Respectfully
submitted,
Muriel
