We met at
St. Nicodemus Church picnic area for our annual family picnic. Ron Hudson
thanked everyone who worked at the fair.
A good time was had by those of us that attended and the food was great.
Thank You Pat for all the worked you did to make this a success. We would like
to see more members there next year, so we can have a ladder ball tournament.

Announcements
The fair was
a huge success if you haven’t heard yet.
The final tally was $16,899. Since we were $101 short of
$17,000, Jim is asking anyone who wants to contribute up to $5.00. Therefore,
chances are we’ll be over $17,000.
Since 2005,
our clubs have raised $118,794 for Make-A-Wish. The break down is as follows:

A SPECIAL
THANK YOU TO Jim Hilburger, Bob Ball, Rich Mialki, and Gary Jones for their
time and energy toward this cause. A big thank you also to all everyone for
their time at the booth either turning or selling for this cause. Without your
time and effort this could not have been accomplished with such success.
Sept. demo
will be Gene Musial. It is a surprise what he will be demoing.
I also want
to inform you all that we will be looking for someone to take over the
secretarial job for the coming year. Now that my husband is retired, we will be
spending more time in the south, and I will not be able to continue in the
position. Please consider helping the club and volunteer for the position.
Old Business
Rich gave
an update of the fair: 2010 fair fact sheet.
*There were
92 total volunteers that worked the fair consisting of member from 4 clubs,
wives, girlfriends, offspring’s, friends, and Make-A-Wish volunteers
* We had
$1376 from pre-sale items from year round efforts. A large majority of the
money coming from Gary Jones and Jim Hilburger sales..
* There
were 16 people that worked 3 or more shifts during the fair, and 8 of those 16
worked more that 5 shifts.
* The
raffles brought in a total of $905.00. The hockey stick earned $210.00, and the
Truck/pepper/salt mill earned $695.00.
New Business
Paul posted
the website to view the Channel 7 news interview that Bob Ball, Rich Mialki and
Jim Hilburger starred in. It can be found on the Make-A-wish website.

ELMER’S CORNER
I found this idea in this month’s Handyman
Slick
charger I.D. tag
With all of
the electrical rechargeable devices like phones, cameras, etc., that a lot of
us have, it is also true that we have a drawer full of chargers and transformer
for these devices. Of course they all look alike and it is hard to find the one
you need in the tangled mess. Solution: With a white marker, label each one when
you buy and store the charger. Then when you need it, you can find it quickly.
