The hollowing goes fast

 

The inside is sanded and a large live center is used for support

 

With the top finished the rings are marked off

 

The tops and sides of the rings are finished while they are still attached

 

A scraper is used to undercut the rings

 

A piece of sandpaper is taped to the stem to finish the inside of the rings

 

Jim tapes the rings to the upper portion of the cup to get them out of the way

 

The base is finished
