January 2005 Meeting

There was quite an assortment on the show and tell table

After the business meeting Rick Wierzbicki leads off show and tell

Paul Mazuchowski with a flying angel

Ken Schweickert turned a bowl

Sam Ciccia brought a variety of peppermills

Jim Hilburger did the demo on laminated peppermills

Jim laminates the stock and bandsaws on the diagonal and reglues the opposite sides the achieve the desired effect

Jim uses a story stick to mark the dimensions on the blank

A story stick is a piece of wood with notches cut into it for marking various points with a pencil

Jim parts into the blank using calipers for the depth of cut

The top is seperated and the bottom is mounted for turning

The blank is step drilled with the appropriate size bits
